Al-Malik - The Sovereign, The King, The Master

3. Al-Malik – Sovereign, The King, The Master

There is no King but Allah, He is the only King for us and none of these so-called kings on earth have the power that Allah has. He is the King of everything in the whole universe. He owns every planet, every star, every animal, every insect, every tree, every mountain, and every single person, even you, everything belongs to Allah.
We have all got belongings, which we have bought, sought or gained in some way or another, but it was all given to us by the grace of Allah SWT. Allah is the King and has full control over His kingdom and no one could ever take any part of it away from Him. All matters we seek belong with Him. He has complete knowledge, power, and rule over all His creations. So if we seek refuge, we should confide in Allah because only He can help provide relief. Whatever we seek, we should seek from the King of kings because He is the only true provider with no limits.
"Sovereign of the Day of Recompense" (Qur'an: Surah al-Fatihah [the Opening] 1, verse 4)
He is the King, the Master of the Day, when we shall be brought back and He will not only be the Master of that great Day but He will be the Judge al-Hakam. That Day will be an overwhelming Day for us all. The King will be on His Throne (al 'Arsh).

All Kings have rules that the people of the kingdom should follow.
Allah too has certain rules that we should follow, He has taught us in the Quran and Sunnah. And when we read them we must begin to put them into practice and correctly follow the rules and guidelines given to us. The Sovereign (Allah SWT) will surely reward us for our good actions by following His rules:

“They will have whatever they wish. Thus, does Allah reward the righteous- “(Surah al-nahl [The Bees] 16, verse 31)
Everything you own, you only have because Allah has given it to you. If Allah wills, He can easily take them away from you. Allah dislikes it when we look down at other people and treat them badly. Don't ever become arrogant (to think you are better than someone or that you are more special than someone) this is something that Allah discourages, He likes us to be kind to one another, encouraging other believers to do good deeds and follow the akhlaq (manners, ethics, morals etc) of the Prophet Muhammad SAWS.

So, no matter how much Allah has blessed you with something, be grateful and satisfied, and don't become like Iblis, who was arrogant and ungrateful. Instead, you should be grateful and thankful to Allah for giving you those blessings, how Kind and Generous Allah is. Even when a calamity strikes, one should be thankful, never should one question Allah, why? how? what if? To question the King is sinful upon us. We have no right to question Allah upon what He has decreed for us, for sometimes the calamity or difficulty that you may be going through is what you need in order to become closer to the Creator, the King. Always make dua' and never lose hope or faith in Allah, but fully rely on Allah the King that He will see you through the dark, rough and difficult circumstances that you may be going through. And something else to be mindful of is that not everyone's difficulties are on the same level so be patient and kind to everyone, for you do not know what they are going through.

"But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." Qur'an: surah al Baqarah 2, verse 216

Say, "O Allāh, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent." (Qur'an: Surah ali-Imran, the family of Imran 3, verse 26)
